BHUTAN, the only carbon negative country in the world is a country of mountains and valleys with stunning natural scenery.
Its the Happiest country of the world…. because they celebrate even a smallest pleasures of life.
Bhutan was in my dream list. It was always on mind and more so after listening to Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay TED talk.
How people of a tiny country sandwiched between two world’s most populace country tucked in the foothills of Himalayan mountain were so happy. It intrigued me. The urge to witness this came to life when we few friends decided to do a road trip to Bhutan.

Bhutan is a beautiful country… and this realization comes moment you cross the border.
Standing at the gate of Phuentsoling one can see the stark contrast on either side. Huge difference.
The work culture too is so different here. People follow and abide by the rules. Getting permits at immigration office a d later RTO office was very smooth.
Bhutan, Where contentment and happiness health is more valued than economic health. Bhutan places happiness at the very core of development.

Great Buddha Dordenma
Sitting amidst magnificent Kuenselphodrang is this Gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha at Thimphu, Bhutan which is made of bronze and is gilded in gold and measures in at a height of massive 51.5 meters – 169 feet, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world.
In this world full of materialistic people, Mesmerizing Bhutan, an abode of happiness, teaches us the value of Love and Nature, an Himalayan wisdom.
